We like to think that here at New & Green, we help families take the vision behind Earth Day and make it actionable through their everyday lives.  We wholeheartedly believe that using cloth diapers for your baby makes a significant positive impact on the Earth they'll inherit and we want to help more families understand how to make cloth diapers work in their life.

Families from Victoria BC to Moncton NB to Watson Lake NWT and everywhere in between have worked with New & Green Baby Co to lighten their footprint by choosing cloth.  All told, we’ve helped around 2000 babies get into cloth since Earth Day 2009. 

The impacts are numerous but the one that stands out the most for us at New & Green is this:
2000 Babies in Cloth = 14,000,000 less diapers will go into the landfills over the time these babies are in diapers. 

We’d like you to join our celebrations by helping us to support more families to choose cloth.  And to kick start our celebration, we’ve got a contest for you!  This contest is open to Moms-to-be, New Moms and Seasoned Moms.  If you fit into one of those categories, read on!

To enter the contest, select the category that describes you and email your response to: contest@newandgreen.com.  Contest is open until April 30th, 2010. 

From the emailed responses, we will select a winner from each of the three categories. Our prize was selected for it's low impact on the Earth, to support all mom’s cloth diapering ventures where they are at, to not create more “stuff” and to make your life easier!  So what is it?

In each category, we will select a winner and that Mom will have their laundry taken care of for a year! 

No, we’re not coming over to do it, but we will send you enough (plus a little extra) Wonder Wash to wash your diapers for one whole year.  We’re going to put it in a Bummis Fabulous Wet Bag which you can zip shut and use to store your Wonder Wash, or store your wonder Wash in a container you already have and use your Fabulous Wet Bag for diapers, swim gear or anything else that floats your {reusable} boat!

We are really excited to hear your stories and to help you with your laundry!

Moms-to-be:  Tell us about your biggest barriers to choosing cloth diapering for your family or tell us what/who best supported you in your decision to use cloth diapers and why.

New Moms (with babies newborn – 4 months):  Tell us about your cloth diapering experience.  What has been the biggest challenge and reward for you.  Any big surprises along your way?  If you are not yet cloth diapering, refer to the Moms-to-be questions.
