| Why do you need a diaper pail liner?
To simplify your life!
When you use a pail liner, it's easy to do laundry. You just take the bag out of the pail, dump it into the laundry (read - no touching of dirty diapers required) and then throw the bag in as well. Easy. This also means that you don't have to scrub your diaper pail every laundry day either. That's the best part. (I do usually spritz in a water/vinegar mix and wipe out with a cloth wipe which gets thrown in the laundry with the diapers - you'll develop your own routine).
The two pail liner styles we have at New & Green are an elastic top (Monkey Doodlez) which fit snugly over the edge of your standard diaper pail (or similar garbage can) and ones with drawstring tops (Bummis) that also fit well over a pail or garbage can. Families who are choosing to just use a diaper pail liner/tote without a pail will do best with a drawstring bag as you can cinch it shut and then hang it up on a doorknob or hook. When you get to the stage of flushing the poop, some parents like to have a hanging pail liner/bag/tote in the bathroom for the dirties as it's less of a space hog than another pail. |
