| Fleece Covers - A Breathable, Soft Diaper Cover that can be tossed in the wash with everything else! Fleece covers are ideal for families who would like a diaper cover that is breathable but don't want to deal with handwashing wool or that would prefer to use a non-animal based product or that have babies that are prone to diaper rashes. The advantage to using fleece is that it doesn't need any special care but provides the benefits of breathability. Fleece is manufactured to be water resistant, not waterproof, thereby allowing air to circulate through it. Because of this, it is important to stay on top of changing wet diapers, which is a good thing! When you have a soaked diaper underneath a fleece cover, you may get some "compression wicking" which simply means that you will begin to feel some humidity/dampness on the outside of the cover. This only occurs when the diaper underneath is soaked. This is simply remedied by using a high quality diaper and changing your baby's bottom frequently. Frequent changes and the breathability of fleece will do wonders at keeping rashes at bay. |
