The Bambineo is a lovely soft diaper made of biodegradable, pesticide and fertilizer free bamboo grown in East Asia. The fabric is made from 90% bamboo fiber with 10% polyester woven into the base of the fabric for durability.
This diaper is really versatile and two sizes will take you from 6lbs right through 35lbs! The diaper is made of two layers of luxuriously soft bamboo terry and has a separate three layer bamboo booster pad which adds absorbency and facilitates decreased drying time. For smaller babies, you can remove this booster pad to get a really snug fit without any bulk in their wet zone.
The Bambineo also offers a fairly long rise which is great news for the long and thin babies out there. No more low rise diaper issues here! The front rise is simply folded down before securing the Velcro tabs for a customized fit on any baby.
The Size 1 Diaper fits babies from 6lbs - 20lbs.
The Size 2 Diaper will fit babies best from about 10lbs+ to 35lbs.
Some families will utilize the Size 2 Diaper as a "One Size" diaper to take them through many sizes. The only drawback to this is solution is that it is a bulkier option when your baby is smaller as there is extra fabric in the diaper that allows for growth.
The Bambineo is naturally antibacterial due to the inherent properties of the bamboo fiber. It has been tested after 100 washes and determined to continue to posses it’s antibacterial properties.
The Bambineo diapers are all whitened with peroxide prior to being gently dyed with eco-friendly dyes certified by Oeketex, which is a very strict certification in Europe. This means that there are no harmful chemicals, no heavy metals and no chlorine present in the dyes or during the dye process. This also means that you have the choice between a natural cream (Size 1) and a pleasant pistachio (Size 2) diaper without any worry of toxicity.
